EASY HIKING DAY IN BAIU MOUNTAINS

The Baiu Mountains is a mountain range in Carpathian Mountains of Romania and part of the Outer Eastern Carpathians. Baiu mountains have an average elevation of 1110 meters (3643 feet) and a maximum height of 1923 meters (6310 feet).
Baiului Mountains are some of the most beautiful and photogenic in Prahova Valley area.
Leaving Bucharest in the morning we go straight to Busteni Mountain Resort located at 900m altitude. Before starting the hike we will stop to a grocery store to buy something for lunch. This is one of the most popular Romanian mountain resorts, offering spectacular views with both Bucegi Mountains as well as Baiului Mountains. From this mountain resort we will start this hiking tour taking the forest road and then the mountain trails.
First part of the hiking tour pass along Zamora Ridge offering plenty of photo opportunities. In fact this tour is the perfect option for the nature and photo lovers.
Once we reach the mountains top we can admire stunning views of Southern Carpathians. Bucegi Mountains, Ciucas Mountains and even Piatra Craiului Massif. From afar we will admire the impressive Heroes` Cross, a memorial dedicated to the Romanian soldiers of First World War as well as Caraiman Peak 2260 m.
The hiking tour will end in the afternoon in Azuga. We can reach Azuga mountain resort taking back the cable car. After this amazing mountain adventure we take the car back to Bucharest. This outdoor activity and it can be adjusted according to your interest. Either you want to hike father and see more or just a couple of hours, we can decide together.
From here our descending continue back to Azuga Mountain Resort on the same trekking route.
