Two famous castles-Private tour from Bucharest, will give you the chance to visit Peles Castle and Dracula`s Castle, but also the medieval Old Town of Brasov, located in Transylvania at the foothills of Carpathians. We organize Dracula Castle Tour.
You will be picked-up in the morning from your hotel in Bucharest. After we will leave Bucharest, we pass through a chain of villages from southern Romania. as we reach the Prahova Valley the landscape is different, we will pass through one of the most picturesque places of this region, with mountain resorts spreading across it. Wide and deeply carved by the homonymous river, the Prahova Valley is an unforgettable display of the splendors which nature most generously holds out. This valley is a narrow corridor between Transylvania and Wallachia, an ancient road that is crossed by both rail and motorways, making it one of the most visited routes in Romania.
During this one day trip from Bucharest called Two famous castles tour, you will have the chance to discover the famous castles of Sinaia Mountain Resort – which served as a residence for the Royal family. The developing of Sinaia began once the construction of the famous Sinaia Monastery started in 1695 and it turned into an important settlement. The fast pace of Sinaia`s growth is connected to the development of the extractive and oil processing industries in the south Carpathian area, and to the construction of the road connecting it to Bucharest at the end of the 18th century. There followed the construction of the railway (1879) and of the Peles Castle. Thus being one of the oldest urban mountain settlements in the country Sinaia was declared a town in 1880.
Here at The Peles Castle Complex, there is one of the best-preserved royal palaces in Europe. On the inside as well as on the outside, the Castle is full of ornaments and features elaborate wood sculptures and paintings representing scenes from the works of the German composer Richard Wagner. We will continue to Bran Village, going through a dramatic mountain landscape, and we reach the legendary Dracula`s Castle. The first historical reference of the Bran Castle is a document issued on November 19th, 1377 by Ludwig I d’Anjou, by which Brasov’s inhabitants received the privilege of building a fortress “at their own work and expense”. The Bran Castle was restored under the supervision of Karel Liman Between 1920-192. He was the architect of the Royal Court, who turned it in a beautiful summer residence surrounded by a park with promenade alleys, a lake, fountains, trees, and a tea house. In 1938 Queen Maria of Romania bequeathed the Bran Castle with all its domains to her daughter Princess Ileana, who owned it until 1948.
We will also make a tour of Brasov before returning to Bucharest, which according to historical references from 1234, was called Kronstadt. During the second half of the 14th century it was confirmed as the administrative and ecclesiastic centre of the region of Tara Barsei, “the free Royal town”, one of the economic and cultural centres of Transylvania.
INFO! The capital of Brasov County, the city of Brasov is situated in the central part of the Romania, about 166 km North of Bucharest. Surrounded by the Southern peaks of the Carpathian Mountains it is part of the Transylvania region. Because of its central location, Brasov is a good starting point for trips all around Romania. Brasov is also the biggest city in a mountain resorts area. The old part of the city is very well preserved, and the best view you will have if you take the cable-car to the top of Tâmpa Mountain (995 m), offering a beautiful panoramic view.
We return to Bucharest in the evening.
The traffic to the mountain area might be busier than usual especially during the official holidays and weekends, so the return could be expected later than scheduled (around 9 -10pm).

Two famous castle – Private tour –
Our guide was very knowledgeable, speaks good fluent English and proud of his country
Thanks to our guide Ion. It was a very informative, pleasant and relaxing one day tour to Sinaia and Dracula castle. Our guide was very knowledgeable, speaks good fluent English and proud of his country that is always nice to see. As it was a private tour driving was important, especially keeping in mind Bucharest taxis that are scary. I did not feel stressed with Ion driving that was important to have a good overall impression.

Fantastic trip, wonderful wonderful value.
Really enjoyed this, guide was superb. I researched a lot of tours before booking with Romania Tour Store. The value for money was stunning, 105 Euro for a twelve hour tour with our own guide in a car, vastly better than paying same money on a large tour bus. Our guide was wonderful, genuinely passionate about Romania, about travel and endlessly patient. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
